Your Album Cover (part 2)

Check out my first go at creating a random album cover. I had a lot of fun and decided to try it again and see how it’ll turn our this time (the instructions for creating your own are in my first Your Album Cover post).

1. For the name of my band, I got this Wikipedia article: Homer Smith.
2. The last quotation on the random list I got was: “Only the mediocre are always at their best.”
3. I got really lucky with my Flickr picture. It was this really pretty picture of pink flowers. (Full credit for the photo goes to LIGSGE)

Here’s my final Album Cover. I didn’t edit the picture anymore since I think it’s already perfect! What do you think?

Here’s a very fun and interesting exercise c/o CMD+SHIFT Design Blog:

1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
   The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
   The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3. Go to http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
   Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use Photoshop (or something else!) to put it all together.
5. Post a link in the comments and share! :)
