I’ve always loved Masa’s k-pop remixes. This one is a mashup of the top 30 songs from the first half of 2010. It’s simply awesome… I can only imagine how long it probably took to create it. Not only does this mashup sound really good, the lyrics make sense too! You can check out the songs used and the lyrics after the break.

A Perspective of Bangkok

This was I think my second visit to Bangkok. My first trip was probably more than 10 years ago. All I cared back then was the food and the shopping. Now however, I was more observant and appreciative of my surroundings. I visited Bangkok as a tourist, joining a package tour that brought us to the usual tourist spots, but I hope that my perspective is something a bit unique compared to others.

After a long vacation from the kpop scene, SHINee has finally released a new single, Lucifer. To celebrate the occasion, the boys all got a makeover. It’s not too bad, really. All of them look great, but I’m not too crazy about Key’s hairstyle. Still, they didn’t disappoint with their song. As always, the song is very catchy and their choreography awesome.

The Petronas Tower at KL

My brief stay at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia didn’t allow me too much free time, but at least I was able to afford a quick visit to the Petronas Tower. I didn’t dwell very long in the city but I was able to take a few snapshots of the place.

This is MV #5 in my Super Junior MV marathon. It’s Marry U, a ballad from their second album Don’t Don, which was released in 2007. I like it because it’s such a lighthearted and cute song. I like the MV too; they used a lot of cute and colorful computer generated visuals. Oh, and I almost forgot to add that SNSD’s Yoona is featured in this MV as well.

For MV #4 of my Super Junior marathon, I’ve got one of my favorite kpop ballads. Sorry Sorry – Answer’s MV was released only last December 2009, after the release of their 2nd Asia Tour CD. The MV is similar to the original Sorry Sorry‘s black and white color scheme. Although it’s somewhat just a remix of Sorry Sorry, I think I like this slower version much much better than the original.

Here’s MV #3 in my Super Junior MV marathon. This one’s Don’t Don from their second album Don’t Don released in 2007. They all look very different here… I’m not sure if I like their punk rock and metal look, but I like the song anyway. It’s got a different vibe from their other songs. It almost reminds me of DBSK’s Rising Sun and Triangle… Oh well, they’re both SM artists so maybe that’s why. ^_^

If you’ve read my past SUJU posts (BONAMANA and No Other), you would know that I only started paying attention to them when they released their fourth album. But I guess I started liking their old songs as well. ^_^ MV #1 for the marathon is It’s You, from their third album Sorry Sorry.

Mai Khao Beach Phuket

Mai Khao beach in Phuket is probably the best beach I’ve ever been to. I think it’s the best not because of the usual things that makes beaches well-known. I really liked Mai Khao beach in Phuket because of the extreme calm and serenity I felt there. Although the beach was near several hotels and resorts, the actual beach was deserted and virtually undeveloped. I could have walked kilometers along it’s shoreline without ever seeing another person. I would have taken a lot of pictures while I was there had I brought my DLSR with me. (I hate that I didn’t have my DSLR when I really needed it.)

I My Me Mine is 4minute’s follow up song to Hit Your Heart. If you liked Hit Your Heart, chances are you’ll love I My Me Mine as well. Although I My Me Mine is more of a dance tune, it’s still got that funky attitude that 4minute always puts into their songs. As an added bonus, I think Hyuna’s blond hair in this MV suits her more than her orange hair before.

That was quick! After only a couple of months since BONAMANA’s release, Super Junior just released their follow-up single, No Other. I must say, I’m beginning to like Super Junior more and more. And with all the angsty stuff out there right now, No Other is a welcome diversion. It’s such a feel-good song that makes you feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

Walt Disney World Architecture

No matter how old I get, I think I’ll always love Disney World. However, my favorite theme park within the huge Disney World complex, is Epcot. When we went there last 2007, I thought I took enough pictures of the place. But it seems like enough pictures back then is not the same as enough pictures right now. Anyway, check out the pics that I thought were at least decent out of the lot. I have a photo of the classic Disney castle as well.

Even though it’s been awhile since f(x) made a comeback with NU ABO, I’m posting its MV here because I really think it’s a great song. I’ve probably heard this song dozens of times already but I haven’t got tired of it so far. I also love watching them perform this live because they always do a good job. I think Luna is an amazing singer and dancer; she never fails to hit the high notes. ^_^

Shanghai Museum and the Old City

I only brought a point-and-shoot camera with me during my trip to Shanghai. I mostly got bad pictures to show from the trip but nevertheless, I’m posting some of them h anyway. We went to the Shanghai Museum and although I don’t normally appreciate ancient art, I had fun taking pictures of the sculptures on display. We also visited the Old City which is like a gem in the middle of ultra-modern Shanghai. It was a fun and worthwhile trip — it’s a shame I wasn’t able to bring my DSLR.

Miss A is a new girl group produced by none other than JYP Entertainment. Honestly, this is the best debut song I’ve seen in a long time. The song is meaningful, the MV simple yet eye-catching, and the girls very talented. It’s been said that the girls have been training for 7 years before debuting and it really shows! I hope their follow-up songs will be as good as this one.

Scenic Sydney

I just discovered photos I took from our 2007 trip to Sydney, Australia. I have so much photos and so little time that sometimes I just dump them in my hard drive where they are left and ignored for a long time. Seeing these photos bring back some fun memories. We only spent 5 days there but we were able to visit a lot of scenic spots around the city (and the surrounding country). I purchased my D40 right before we left for the trip (it was my first DSLR) so please pardon me if these photos are a tad underexposed.

I wasn’t really a big fan of Super Junior before. In fact, I couldn’t care less if they released a new song or not. However, lately, I’ve been paying more attention to them. Maybe it’s because watching Oh! My Lady gave me a character to relate the nameless face (Siwon) to. And now that I’ve started noticing them and their songs, I have to say they’re songs are not bad at all. They just ended promotions for their latest song, Bonamana, and I still think it’s super catchy. ^_^
