A Perspective of Bangkok

This was I think my second visit to Bangkok. My first trip was probably more than 10 years ago. All I cared back then was the food and the shopping. Now however, I was more observant and appreciative of my surroundings. I visited Bangkok as a tourist, joining a package tour that brought us to the usual tourist spots, but I hope that my perspective is something a bit unique compared to others.

Mai Khao Beach Phuket

Mai Khao beach in Phuket is probably the best beach I’ve ever been to. I think it’s the best not because of the usual things that makes beaches well-known. I really liked Mai Khao beach in Phuket because of the extreme calm and serenity I felt there. Although the beach was near several hotels and resorts, the actual beach was deserted and virtually undeveloped. I could have walked kilometers along it’s shoreline without ever seeing another person. I would have taken a lot of pictures while I was there had I brought my DLSR with me. (I hate that I didn’t have my DSLR when I really needed it.)
